Are your premises accessible to vision impaired people?

The questionnaire gives you an idea of what to look out for to ensure that vision impaired people can also feel comfortable in your premises or at your events. Some of the questions may not concern your activities and your premises.

Entry

Are the beginnings and ends of stairs marked in contrasting colours?
Have materials with a different surface been used at the beginning of stairs?

Moving and staying indoors

Is general lighting sufficient but not blinding?
Are there any signs with large text in the building?
Are the buttons in the lift tactile and equipped with Braille?
Are voice announcements used in the lift?
Are there any signs or tactile maps that can be touched?
Is there an audio guide/verbal guidance?

Service

Do the service staff know how to communicate with a vision impaired person?
